OVERVIEW/RESPONSIBILITIES

In identifying new customers and renewing and growing the advertising accounts of more than 40,000 established American Marketing & Publishing customers, our Account Managers have the advantage of selling a distinctive yellow pages advertising product that is highly effective, sensible and reasonably priced.



QUALIFICATIONS
We seek highly motivated people with a record of professional accomplishment in sales. In addition, we place a high value on relevant personal qualities such as resourcefulness, tenacity, independence, energy and self-confidence. Our ideal candidate will possess strong time and project management skills, business-to-business sales endurance, and the ability to continually identify new business, close it, and move on to the next potential client.

  • 2+ years of successful outside sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and relevant experience totaling four years
  • Effective communication, presentation and closing abilities.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrable success in a prior competitive endeavor - whether in business, athletics, academics or sales.

Our Account Managers take ownership of and manage four to six directory sales campaigns in their first year of employment. Selling in specific protected territories, within 45 minutes of their home, Account Managers meet face to face with the owners and managers of every prominent business located in their territory. Account Managers are responsible for selling advertising to these merchants by implementing the proven HomePages® sales and marketing program.

COMPENSATION
Our salary, commission and bonus plan offers exceptional earning opportunities. In 2007, average annual compensation for employees on the sales side of our business was over $65,000. Earnings are truly uncapped, with top performers at our company making well into the six figures.
